Get out your smartphone and point it towards the ground in Chiado. Lisbon’s favorite neighborhood now presents a QR code formed by its trademark cobblestone designs, the first one of what may be many to come. This one, found on Rua Garrett by the Bénard coffee-house, gives you tourist information about the area (in English and Portuguese), and provides audio of the pavers working on their art.

It measures about one square meter and its only flaw is that at certain times of the day the sunlight may not allow the correct reading.
